Benoli is an independently owned Italian restaurant on Orford Street in Norwich that fuses authentic Italian and local ingredients, cooked with skill and care. They describe themselves as ‘specialising in modern Italian cuisine, beautiful hand-made pasta, carefully sourced ingredients and making customers happy!’. Music to our ears here, being huge fans of Italian food!
Benoli is owned by Chef-Patron Oliver Boon, a former ‘Masterchef Professionals’ finalist. Oliver has worked for Gordon Ramsey and was previously Head Chef at prestigious restaurant ‘The Landau’ in London (run by Albert & Michel Roux Jnr.)
After travelling extensively around Sicily and Italy, Oliver could not resist drawing on his memories and love of robust Italian flavours, to the benefit of Norwich residents!
Oliver says, “I couldn’t be more excited to be here, firstly, to be cooking the food I believe people really love to eat. It is the food that I was brought up on as a child whilst travelling around Sicily and Italy. Secondly, for being part of and contributing to such a creative city as Norwich that has such an exciting food and art scene developing now.”
“What’s better in the world than being surrounded by good people eating fresh pasta, amazing cheese, great wine and strong coffee? That’s what Benoli is about.”
Norwich’s newest Italian restaurant has been open since July 2019 and has already received some fantastic customer reviews.
For casual dining, there’s a vibrant ‘trattoria style’ bar. For a more intimate dining experience, make your way upstairs… or you can book the private dining room. The room holds up to 8 people and is located on the ground floor, allowing you complete privacy or full enjoyment of the restaurant’s atmosphere to suit your occasion. The private dining room is also perfect for business meetings, networking or other groups.
To accompany the food, you’ll discover inventive cocktails and an extensive wine list. What’s not to love, we say?!
