BEAUTIFUL NEW CHILDREN’S PRODUCTION, BASED ON UEA GRADUATE’S NOVEL, COMES TO NORWICH PLAYHOUSE
This beautiful and enchanting children’s show will be at Norwich Playhouse from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th March. Using puppetry, original live music, and an amazing set, The Boy Who Climbed Into The Moon is a magical tale following Paul’s very big adventure. Some pretty odd ideas are floating around Paul’s street. There’s Mabel, whose brother hides under a brown paper bag. And Clarence the poodle who thinks he can fly. But Paul has the oddest idea of all. He thinks that the moon is a hole in the sky and he’s going to climb into it… The show celebrates creativity and encourages children to dream big and reach for the stars (or the moon!).
The Boy Who Climbed Into The Moon is based on the original children’s novel written by award-winning novelist David Almond (Skellig, My Name is Mina) and illustrated by local star Polly Dunbar, who currently lives in Waveney Valley, and studied at NUA.
“Such a wonderful, intelligent, beautiful, moving production! One of the highlights of my year.” David Almond.
Funny, deeply moving, and spellbinding, The Boy Who Climbed Into The Moon, encourages children to believe in themselves. This uplifting play will charm adults and children alike.
“This spectacular production is enthralling, charming, and so life-affirming.” Caroline Richardson, Director of Norwich Playhouse.
