Café Pure @ St George’s is a new, independently owned café located in St George’s Street – almost opposite the Playhouse Theatre. Close to the Norwich Lanes and the Norwich University of the Arts, it’s a stone’s throw from the river and its walks and, therefore, in one of the most picturesque areas of the city.
The owners have completely refurbished the old Orange Tree Bistro to create a stylish, modern and interesting space, with a large south-facing outside seating area. Anyone who has visited Café Pure @ the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital will know that the quality of their coffee and food is hard to equal.
From 7:30am ‘til 9am, all hot drinks are just £1. The majority of the food on offer is home-made and freshly made daily. Whatever you’re in need of: breakfast; lunch or afternoon tea, you’ll find it on offer at competitive prices.
Whilst the new outlet has started life as a café, the premises are fully licensed and the owners will be extending the offer into the evening, to include pre-theatre meals, wine tastings, quiz nights, pop-up restaurant bookings for celebrity or budding chefs, birthday / office parties, family celebrations; etc.
Owner, Carl Mann said, “Flexible and modern, whatever you want it to be, it can be!”
We look forward to seeing Café Pure @ St George’s evolve and establish itself as a leading player in Norwich’s eating and drinking scene.
Open Mon – Fri 7.30am – 4.30pm, Sat 8am – 4pm. Closed on Sundays.
