Now this new was music to my vegetarian ears: Côte Restaurants have launched a new wholly vegetarian menu – very much putting French restaurants back on the table (literally) for vegetarians.
The new vegetarian à la carte menu contains all non-meat items from the main menus, with small tweaks where necessary, alongside dishes created especially for the menu. Starters include French onion soup with a sourdough and melted mozzarella croute or wild mushrooms on toasted brioche. For mains you can choose from a range of rustic dishes such as braised Puy lentils with roasted vegetables and poached egg or grilled spinach and cheddar sausages with Salardaise potatoes. The menu also features most of Côte’s full dessert menu, including their signature crème caramel and a decadent rich chocolate mousse.
Want more? Côte have also included a vegetarian wine list. Hold me back…
We went along as family to sample the new veggie menu yesterday. As with every visit we’ve paid to Côte Brasserie on Exchange Street since it opened here in Norwich, we weren’t disappointed.
Dine at Côte and you can be happy in the knowledge that you will have a wonderful experience. From the immaculate interior and incredible service to the fantastic food, it’s a restaurant we’d highly recommend you visit.
I chose the Mushroom & Mozzarella Salad (Chargrilled Mushroom, Avocado, Mozzarella, Lettuce, baby Spinach, Shallots, French Beans, Walnuts – basically a cacophony of healthy deliciousness), while my Other Half had Asparagus Risotto. The kids had an Omelette and Eggs Florentine. All accompanied by warm bead, olives and frites… and finished with Frozen Berries with White Chocolate Sauce.
All four choices were so fresh and packed with flavour. It was nice to see some new ideas on the menu alongside more regularly found veggie staples like the Risotto. Equally nice was knowing that, as a vegetarian, I could choose anything on the menu.
What a fabulous, forward thinking idea. Bravo Côte Brasserie!
