Q: Some of the sections don’t have many listings in them. Why?
A: Here at Enjoy Norwich we believe in quality over quantity. As such the sections will never be lists of everything and anything in Norwich. We try to highlight the unique or special, and if we can’t find anything really special for a particular section, it will remain empty. We are not an all-encompassing directory – they already exist in many forms. We are not interested in listing all things, just great things.
Q: Is EnjoyNorwich.com affiliated to any other websites? Who actually owns the site?
A: Enjoy Norwich is an independent resource owned by Norwich-based family Company Bishy B Industries Limited. People who were born in and live in Norwich created and maintain it. The site is self-funding and is not associated with or linked to any other franchise, network or Company. We believe that this independence offers greater flexibility for our site visitors and better service for the businesses and venues that we feature.
Q: Why aren’t the listings on EnjoyNorwich.com in alphabetical order?
A: Enjoy Norwich is not intended to be a conventional directory, but a source of inspiration and new ideas. If you already knew what you were looking for, Enjoy Norwich wouldn’t be as valuable to you. We want you to browse our pages and find something new and exciting to do in Norwich each time you visit. Order is not as important as content on Enjoy Norwich as we believe there should be no order to our dreams.
Q: I’ve just had a wonderful experience at a restaurant in Norwich but it’s not listed on EnjoyNorwich.com. I think it’s well worth including on this site.
A: While we do our best to add as many lovely places to Enjoy Norwich as we can, and are always looking out for new and wonderful additions to the site, we are more than grateful for suggestions to help make this resource as useful and complete as possible. If you know a great place to eat, drink, stay, shop, or visit in Norwich, please feel free to tell us about it.
Q: How do you decide what to include on EnjoyNorwich.com?
A: Members of the Enjoy Norwich Team (or their trusted Family and Friends) have dined at, had drinks at, visited, stayed at, shopped at or used all of the products, venues and services featured here before they are included them on Enjoy Norwich. We are also open to suggestions from you and will follow up any recommendations diligently. We are committed to an independent editorial policy that will never be compromised in its original intent – to inform you of the best establishments in the City and to make your experience in Norwich as special as possible.
Q: Following a recommendation on your website I just had an awful experience in a restaurant. I thought you only included the very best venues?
A: As we say, we try to review all venues featured on a regular basis and work closely with the proprietors of each business that we mention. If we find a venue no longer fits with the philosophy of EnjoyNorwich.com, we will not include that venue in the future unless the situation changes. Failure to include a venue may stem from anything from poor customer service to unclean toilets!
That said, we appreciate that all venues will have an ‘off day’ every now and then – they are run by human beings, after all. If you are unfortunate enough to visit on a day when most of the team at particular eatery has called in sick and everything is running late, or the performance you planned to see has been temporarily suspended due to a leaky pipe, then please give the venue the benefit of the doubt and don’t write them off completely. Feel free to let us know if you’ve had a negative experience. We will communicate it to the proprietor(s) and hopefully, we will all learn from it.
