It used to be said that Norwich had a pub for every day of the year. Even as late as 1900 there were apparently over 560 public houses in Norwich.
We don’t have anywhere near that that number anymore (sadly – support your local!), but Norwich still boasts a pretty solid cross-section of excellent pubs, bars, cafés and coffee shops that will slake your thirst while offering a convivial atmosphere and a host of other attractions to boot. Whether you’re after a lively drink on a weekend, to the sound of a DJ, a limited edition Real Ale from a local Norfolk Brewery on a wooden bar stool to the soundtrack of gentle conversation or a great coffee (or tea!) with homemade cake there’s a ‘watering hole’ to suit all types of drinker in Norwich.
Many venues offer free WiFi making them perfect for meeting business colleagues, or simply catching up on some work in a relaxed environment beyond the office.
