Passionate about coffee and cake
What happens when you mix coffee with bees? You get a real buzz… (sorry – couldn’t help ourselves).
The Apiary was founded in 2015 from a passion for bee keeping and coffee, combined with a general appreciation all things sweet. Found in the market town of Harleston (amidst mostly independent shops and plenty of free parking) they serve lunch, coffee and sweet treats to hungry customers from miles around.
Aiming to serve the best coffee in South Norfolk, The Apiary tries to source all their ingredients as locally as possible, and 95% of the goods on offer are made on the premises.
Their coffee is especially selected for taste by Green Farm Coffee based in Rackheath, Norwich (an 80% Arabica 20% Robusta mix mostly from South America). And customers with specific dietary requirements need not miss out on great coffee – The Apiary caters for all, and milk alternatives are available.
Sweet tooth? Cakes are baked on site in their own ovens. Our top tip is their ‘ShortJack’. It’s their own recipe, a shortbread base with a flapjack and caramel topping. Delish.
Need groceries, check out The Apiary Grocers for all your fruit and vegetable requirements, with plenty of local produce in stock too.
The Apiary is also fully licensed, offering customers a full choice of wine, beer and cider.
As well as excellent coffee, cake and light lunches, The Apiary team love a party. You can hire the whole place (up to 50 people standing, 40 in a sit-down situation) and they can cater for parties and events, including outside catering at your location.
Seek out The Apiary on social media for all the up to date news.
(There’s lots of free parking in available in Harleston.)
