Innovative Education in Contemporary Art and Design with Artpocket.
Set in the heart of Norwich’s Creative Quarter, Artpocket is Norfolk’s finest Independent Art School.
As practicing artists and experienced educators, Artpocket have developed a broad and varied programme of innovative creative education opportunities from their professional and welcoming studios. They support individuals to realise their creative aspirations and full potential at any stage of their creative journey.
No matter what your age (children to 99+) and whether you are looking to dip your toe in, learn a new skill for fun or commit to a creative future, Artpocket have a course suited to you. You can enjoy short courses in a range of discipline areas including: Drawing, Textiles, Book Arts, Printmaking, 3D, Craft, Photography and Art History. Artpocket now offer a suite of online courses for both children and adults. From the comfort of your home, you can gain a creative kickstart, learn how to look and discuss artworks, explore photography, textiles and sculpture to name a few.
Artpocket also deliver long term course programmes that enable progression both in-house and at Higher education. Students that completed long term programmes during the last academic year are now studying on creative BA and MA programmes, pursuing creative practice independently, or studying on their successful Postgraduate Programme in Creative Practice.
Long term programmes include: Art Direction, Art Intensive, Introduction to Arts and Wellbeing and Postgraduate Programme in Creative Practice.
One of Artpockets key aims is to deliver broad and varied creative education of an exceptional quality; to do this they draw upon their network of creative practitioners locally, nationally and internationally. They celebrate an extensive list of visiting practitioners from a range of disciplines, including drawing, painting, theatre design, art history, photography and 3D. Through creative exploration, exhibiting opportunities, interaction with creative practitioners all students are encouraged to aim high.
Established in 2011 and having built a successful and thriving creative community, Artpocket have been recognised for their valid and varied contribution to the Arts in Norfolk by receiving a nomination for the Visual Arts category of the 2018 Norfolk Arts Awards.
