The Forum, for all.

The Forum in the centre of Norwich is a unique community building; looking impressive on Millennium Plain opposite historical St Peter Mancroft church, it is open to the public seven days a week* offering free art exhibitions, family events, school holiday activities, craft and food markets, films, music and more.

Behind the stunning glass frontage you will find a buzzing coffee bar, an open plan pizza restaurant, a tourist information centre, the BBC’s regional headquarters and the award winning Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library (holder of the accolade of ‘Most Visited Library in the UK’ for several years running now and one of our favourite places), which also has a brilliant Children’s section.

You can even hire The Forum.

Local creative and community groups use The Forum as a meeting place; many come to learn how to sing, film, paint, knit, apply for jobs, use the internet, research family history, make pizza… the list of activities going on inside The Forum is a long one!

The Forum was built to mark the new Millennium and has become an iconic landmark. It was designed by Sir Michael Hopkins, who has designed a number of other award-winning buildings including Norwich Cathedral Refectory (2004).

The Forum Trust is the independent, self-financing charitable organisation which manages the building to ensure the Forum remains a vibrant and inspiring place and an asset which benefits the whole community.

The Forum is many things to many people. For us, it is a vibrant, community ‘heart’ in the city centre. What’s in it for you?
