Tiny Tots Phonics: A fun, educational group for preschool children.
When our two children were little we loved going to play groups, and this one looks fabulous.
‘Synthetic Phonics’ or just phonics, as it’s generally known, is a method of teaching where words are broken up into the smallest units of sound. When children start their reception year at school, they are taught to read using a phonics programme.
Tiny Tots Phonics is a fun, educational group for preschool children aged 2-5 years along with their parents and carers. Each session is planned and delivered by an experienced, qualified teacher. Children benefit from an early introduction to letters and the sounds they make through a variety of exciting activities including songs, crafts and games. Adults can also gain an understanding of the terminology that will be used once their children start school.
As well as being fun – which is the main aim of each session – the activities help children to gain confidence and develop their speech, language and motor skills. Tint Tots Phonics sessions are held on Wednesday mornings during Term Time 9:30am to 10:15am at St Andrews Church Hall, Eaton, Norwich NR4 6NW (The hall is next to Waitrose, there is plenty of parking and there’s a café in Waitrose if you want to pop next door for a cuppa afterwards!)
Loved popping into Waitrose Cafe for a cake & coffee after a play group in Eaton. Sometimes we went before too!
The cost is £6 per family per session – discounted block bookings are available please get in touch with Tiny Tots Phonics for more information and bookings.
