The Bar at Norwich Playhouse is housed within the atmospheric 19th Century ex-maltings that also accommodates the Playhouse, a fantastic performance space offering a regular timetable of great drama, comedy, musical theatre and dance.
This theatre bar features unusual booze, art, films, DJs and more. Serving draft German and local English beers, a large selection of delicious wines, spirits and ales, Fairtrade tea and coffee, pastries and cakes. Plus an awesome array of crisps & chocolate.
If you’re seeing a performance at the Playhouse, you can order pre-interval drinks. If you just want to relax and enjoy a fresh, friendly environment with music, chat and the chance to enjoy the beautiful riverside terrace, then make yourself at home for the evening.
The Bar features The Red Wall exhibition space for local artwork, there’s ‘The Tank’ home to the resident fish and don’t forget to look up to experience Ceilingopolis!
The Playhouse Bar is also host to regular bands, singers and DJs. It’s a great place to discover new talents and sounds from far and wide.
Don’t forget The Playroom – an intimate, quieter spot perfect for catching up with friends, doing a bit of work (utilising the free wifi!) or just relaxing among the plants and mini allotment.
