The University of East Anglia (UEA) Choir, Chamber Choir and Symphony Orchestra will perform music by two celebrated French composers, on Thursday 21st March at 7.30pm in St Andrew’s Hall, Norwich.
Massing more than 230 performers on stage, the musicians of the University and its community will perform two short motets and the playful, tender Gloria by Francis Poulenc (the latter reminded the composer of angels sticking out their tongues). The concert will conclude with the magical Love Scene and the powerful Finale of conflict, loss and reconciliation from Hector Berlioz’s Dramatic Symphony, Romeo and Juliet.
Tickets for UEA’s Poulenc and Berlioz concert cost £4 – £12 and are available to purchase: by phone or in person from St George’s Music Shop (Telephone: 01603 626414, Address: 17-19 St Georges St, Norwich NR3 1AB), online or on the door (cash or cheque only).
